Charles Michael Potts, 81, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Owensboro Regional Hospital. He was born on January 7, 1942 to the late Charles C. Potts, Jr. and Virginia Dawson McEuen. Mike had a lifelong passion for learning, especially history and politics. He never missed an opportunity to tell a good story and share his knowledge of any particular subject.
He is survived by his son David Scifres; daughter-in-law, Caroline, and their three children; sisters, Karen Siracusa and Jane Van Der Wouden and their families; and many loving cousins.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, December 15, 2023 at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory. Private burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
