GREENVILLE, KY., Thomas “Tom” Jones, 90, of Greenville passed away on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson. Gene was born on May 10, 1933 in Muhlenberg the son of Clyde Jones and Bernie Gregory Jones. He enjoyed walking, being outdoors, and he was a farmer all of his life.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Cheryl Jenkins, a sister Betty Wilson, and a brother Rollie Jones.
He is survived by a daughter Debbie (Brian) Houser of Smyrna, TN., a son Scott Jones of Greenville, a sister June DeArmond of Greenville, a brother Wayne Jones of Owensboro, Ex-Wife Sue Jones of Greenville, 8 grandchildren Christy (Chris) Dukes, Whitney Carlock, Caleb (Nikki) Jones, Morgan (Brodie) Fitzhugh, Carson (Samantha) Jenkins, Grayson (Heidi) Jenkins, Desirae Houser, and Daniel Houser, and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville, KY. Gary’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
