Bobby Joe Carman, age 82 of Harned, KY passed away November 28, 2023 at Norton Hosparus Inpatient Care Center. He was born in Breckinridge County on March 8, 1941, son of the late Russell and Evelyn Carman. He retired from Harper Construction and was a farmer. Bobby Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing and attended Fairview Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Jean Carman and siblings Jesse Milton Carman, Monk Harper, June Bug Carman and Bennie Ramsey.
Bobby Joe is survived by 4 children: Brian (Vicki) Carman of Hudson, KY; Aaron Carman of Harned, KY; Sherry (Joe) Coomer of Harned, KY and Missy Hickey of Laramie, Wyoming.
8 grandchildren: Jeremy (Cheryl) Hickey, Ashley Hickey, Tabitha (Pat) Coomer, Meagan (Adam) Forsythe, Mathew (Ann Marie) Carman, Mikaela, Addie and Lillie Carman.
11 great grandchildren: Destiny and Cayden Brinson; Isabelle and Austin Hickey; Jay, Marcie and Jaxson Forsythe and twins on the way; Peyton and Conner Creson; Eileen and Chloe Carman.
1 great great granddaughter Everly TuTu.
6 brothers and sisters: Bussey (Geraldine) Carman, Anna Mae (MacArthur) Sosh and Dellie Ford of Harned, KY; Jimmy Carman of Hardinsburg, KY; Betty Lou Perry of Greensburg, KY and Patsy (Rusty) Hall of Garfield, KY.
Funeral services will be held at Fairview Methodist Church on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11 AM with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, 5-7 PM and Friday, 8:30 – 10:30 AM. All times are central.
