John Anthony "Tony" Critchelow

John Anthony “Tony” Critchelow, 49 passed on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at U of L Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born in Hardinsburg on September 25, 1974, to Hobart and Doris Jean Critchelow. Tony was an avid UK fan and enjoyed being in the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, camping or spending time on the lake. He was a member of St. Romuald Catholic Church and was employed at Domtar.

He is survived by his soulmate Stephanie Shalosky

his grandchildren Lou Bowlin, Cash and Leo Critchelow of Hardinsburg, KY

his mother Doris Jean Critchelow of McDaniels, KY

siblings: Terry (Doug) Moorman of McQuady, KY; Gail Critchelow of Hartford, KY; Kevin (Javonda) Critchelow of Gallatin, TN; Annette (David) Lucas of Big Springs, KY; Theresa (Tommy) Weatherholt of Cloverport, KY; Sandy (Lamar) Carter of McDaniels, KY; Brenda (Jeff) Bradshaw of Prospect, KY; Raymond (Missy) Critchelow and Patrick (Kari) Critchelow of Hardinsburg, KY; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families.

He is preceded in death by his father Hobart Critchelow; brother, Jerry Critchelow; sister, Patsy Critchelow and nephew, Brad Critchelow.

Funeral services will be held at St. Romuald Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 11 AM with burial in the St. Anthony Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday, 3-8 PM and Wednesday, 9 – 11 AM.
