Peggy Sue Lee, 65, of Owensboro, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023 under the care of HPC of Western Kentucky. She was born in Owensboro to the late William Meissner, Sr. and Joan Payne Adkins.
Peggy worked as a licensed practical nurse for twenty-seven years at various nursing homes in the area. She was a believer and attended both Catholic and Baptist churches during her lifetime. Peggy was a fun-loving lady who enjoyed gardening and U.K. Basketball.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Smelcer and a brother, William Meissner, Jr.
Peggy is survived by a daughter, Audrea Goatley (Brandon); a son, Joshua Lee (Christi); grandchildren, Tyler, Cordelia and Isaiah Goatley and Jordan and Taylor Lee; sister, Ellen Meissner; a brother, James “Jumbo” Meissner; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held at 2:30 pm, Sunday November 19th at Legion Park.
