Samuel Bartolon 32, of Sacramento, Kentucky passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 from injuries sustained in a truck accident in Muhlenberg County. Abelardo Samuel Bartolon Lopez was born December 13, 1990 in Sibinal, San Marcos, Guatemala to Arnoldo Bartolon and Carmela Lopez, was married to the former Stacey Marie Crabtree on April 2, 2011, and was known affectionately to all as Samuel Bartolon. Samuel’s life was characterized by a deep love for family, friends, and his farming community.
Samuel’s life was deeply rooted in the soil of his homeland and his adopted country. He was a dedicated farmer with Vickers Farms of Sacramento, where he applied his strong work ethic and passion for agriculture every day. Samuel loved working on the farm with his amigos, and his friendly demeanor and unwavering dedication earned him the respect and affection of his colleagues.
Samuel was a man of many interests, all of which reflected his love for the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing and hunting, and he deeply valued the time spent with his family and friends during these activities. Samuel’s love for music was well known, and he enjoyed listening to a diverse range of genres including Mexican, Country, and Gospel music. His love for these genres reflected his Guatemalan heritage and his appreciation for the culture of his adopted country.
Samuel Bartolon was a man who embodied friendliness. His warm smile, hearty laugh, and genuine interest in others made him a joy to be around. He was the kind of man who could strike up a conversation with anyone and make them feel like they had been friends for years.
In remembering Samuel, we celebrate a life lived with passion, love, and kindness. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished son, a caring brother, and a friend to many. His presence will be sorely missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Samuel is survived by his loving wife of 12 years, Stacey Bartolon; two sons, Samuel Ray Bartolon and Andres Efrain Bartolon both at home; a daughter, Alicia Marie Bartolon at home; his father, Arnoldo Bartolon (Alby) of Sibinal, San Marcos; his mother, Carmela Lopez of Owensboro; a grandfather, Claudio Bartolon of Sibinal, San Marcos; three brothers, Jose Bartolon, Angel Bartolon, and Eduardo Bartolon; and three sisters, Lucitania Bartolon, Yesica Bartolon, and Kenia Bartolon.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday, November 20, 2023 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Sacramento Baptist Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Samuel’s family from 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M. Monday at Musters in Calhoun.
