Joseph Edward Vance, Sr., 79, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 at Signature HealthCARE at Hillcrest. He was born February 20, 1939 in Owensboro, to the late Joseph Winfred Vance and Anna Lee Pate Vance. Joseph was the CEO of his own company, Thomas Industries, in Ohio County and was an avid golfer.
He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Tatu and Joyce Moran; and a brother, Robert Earl Vance.
Joseph is survived by his two sons, Joseph E Vance Jr. of Dover, FL and Derek Jordan Vance of Ohio County; four grandsons; three great-grandchildren, the youngest born Halloween 2018; three sisters, Ella Donahue, Lois English, and Marilyn Bolton; and several nieces and nephews.
The graveside service for Joseph Edward Vance Sr. will be at 9 a.m. Monday at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery with Bro. Eugene Howard officiating.
