Fred Thomas “Freddie” Hobbs, age 81 of Hardinsburg, Ky passed away November 14, 2023 at Jewish Hospital. He was born in Hardinsburg, KY on September 18, 1942, son of the late Denver and Elizabeth Robbins Hobbs. He was a lifelong member of Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a Vietnam veteran of the United States Army. Farming was Freddie’s passion and showed in the work he did. He loved his family and gatherings with them. Freddie spent time with his Harned friends discussing favorite memories and the world happenings. He enjoyed watching TV. especially sports and politics.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Beverly Wood and her husband Barry and his sister-in-law Diane Hobbs.
Freddie is survived by Bonnie, his wife of 56 years.
2 daughters – Jackie Willis (Bruce) and Sharon Willis (Eric) of Harned, KY
4 grandchildren – Jordan Willis, Molly Willis, Ben Willis (Kaylee) and Morgan McManaway (Zach)
2 brothers – William Hobbs (Alice) of Florida and Tony Hobbs (Edna) of Hardinsburg, KY
1 sister – Patricia Niles (Lew) of Hardinsburg, KY
Many nieces, nephews and their families.
Funeral services will be held at Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 1 PM. Burial with military honors will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 AM on Friday.
