
Belinda Pillow 72, of Calhoun, Kentucky, a woman of gentle spirit and loving heart, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 12, 2023, in the comfort of her home in Calhoun, Kentucky. Belinda Faye Ellis was born July 22, 1951 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late E.C. and Loyetta Ellis and was known for her thoughtfulness and unwavering devotion to her family and friends.
Belinda’s professional life was marked by her dedicated service at General Electric of Madisonville, from where she retired. Her work ethic and commitment were admired by her colleagues and will be remembered as an inspiration for many. She was also an active member of the Heritage Baptist Church in Sacramento, where she found spiritual solace and a sense of community.
A woman of simple pleasures, Belinda found joy in the everyday moments of life. She was an avid viewer of both the Hallmark and Lifetime channels, with a particular fondness for her Christmas shows. These shows brought her immense joy and were a source of comfort and warmth, especially during the holiday season. Her love for antiques was another defining aspect of her personality. She enjoyed collecting them and often spent her weekends visiting antique stores, hunting for unique pieces to add to her collection.
But above all, Belinda was a family woman. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She was a constant source of love and support for her loved ones, always there to lend a listening ear or offer words of wisdom. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye and she cherished every moment spent with them.
Belinda’s life was a testament to her kind and loving spirit. She was a beacon of light in the lives of those she touched. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us. She will be missed dearly, but her legacy of love, compassion, and resilience will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her. In addition to her parents, Belinda was preceded in death by a son, Brian Pillow and by a sister, Andra Towery.
Belinda is survived by her son, Bobby Pillow and his wife, who was like Belinda’s own daughter, Crystal of Beech Grove; a daughter-in-law, Angie Pillow of Louisville; four grandchildren, Jake Pillow, Abby Pillow, James Haerle, and Nicole Haerle; a sister, Connie Pruden (Tommy) of Sacramento; nieces, nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 17, 2023 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Belinda’s family from 10:30 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Friday at Musters in Calhoun.
