Roy Lester Sowders, 61, of Utica, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023. He was born on July 14, 1962 in Daviess County to the late Paul and Doris Sowders. Roy was a retired painter.
In addition to his parents, Roy is preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Mary Catherine Board Sowders.
Roy is survived by his daughters, Candice Marie Baize and Kayla Michelle Windle; grandchildren Casey Baize and Starla Frey; and his brothers, Robert (Sylvia), Melvin, David (Jonell), and Byron and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at Cecil Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the funeral home. A private family burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
