Maggie Francis Hale, age 95 of McQuady, KY passed away November 11, 2023 at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Vanzant, KY on April 24, 1928, daughter of the late Martha Helen Poole and Charlie Burton Wells. Maggie was a member of Goshen Baptist Church and a former employee of Galante Studio. She enjoyed gardening, canning, playing Bingo and card games, especially Phase 10.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Hale, son Carl Hale, son-in-law Charles Phillips Jr.. great grandchildren D J Taylor and Bailey Moorman and great great grandson Aiden Dowell.
Maggie is survived by 2 daughters – Wanda Phillips (Doug Hale) and Donna Clark (Bobby) of Falls of Rough, KY
7 grandchildren – Carletta Hale (Scottie McGee). Shirley Ann Moorman (Mark), Carl Hale Jr. (Jequita), Angela DeJarnette (Michael), Betty Francis Taylor (Richard Kirk), Charla Coates (Jason), Charles Phillips Jr. (Jessica), Rebeka Miller (Matthew) and Emily Smiley (Jeremy)
17 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren
Niece and nephew – Myrtle Bishop, Don Waddell and their families, including Betty Wanderstrand.
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 11 AM with burial in the Glen Dean Cemetery. Visitaiton will be held on Wednesday, 3:30 – 7 PM and Thursday after 8:30 AM.
