
Bobbie Jewel Freeman, 92, formerly from Owensboro KY, peacefully passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023 in Punta Gorda, FL. She was born September 5, 1931 in Dixon, Kentucky to the late Robert E. Winstead and Lorene White Winstead. Bobbie worked for Taylor Drugs for 20 years. She enjoyed traveling, making quilts and gardening both vegetables and flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kenneth Freeman; daughter, Lori Ann Cartagena; and a sister, Helen Julia Truman.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce A. “Tony” Cartagena (wife Jayne) and Richard F. “Rick” Cartagena (wife Angel); and three grandchildren, Chandler, Dalton, and Jeremy and their families.
Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2023 and funeral services will directly follow at 11:00 a.m. at James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in Owensboro, Kentucky. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
