William H. “Bill” McDaniel, 85, of Owensboro, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Brickyard Healthcare in Tell City, Indiana. He was born in Hawesville, Kentucky to the late Pearl Amos and Pearl May McDaniel. As a young man, he served in the U.S. Army Reserve for several years.
Mr. McDaniel worked long hours as a farmer for most of his life and was a member of the Family Worship Center. He relaxed by spending time outdoors and working in the yard. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of forty-one years, Billie Jo Pierman McDaniel in 2009; a sister, Ellen Louise Embry; and brothers, James O. McDaniel and Stanley M. McDaniel.
Mr. McDaniel is survived by his daughters, Harva Jo Robin (Paul) and Kellie Feldman; grandchildren, Jacob T. Robin and Jenna N. Hulsey-Riley (Grayson), all of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.
The memorial service will be at Noon, Friday, November 3rd at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
