Ronald “BB” McKenney, 79, of Leitchfield passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Baptist Health Hardin County. He was born July 8, 1944, in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Marshall McKenney and Nellie Marie Johnson McKenney. BB retired from General Motors and was an avid UK Basketball fan as well as supporting local school sports. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam.
Aside from his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Donald McKenney; two sister, Joann Terrell and Margaret McKenney, and a nephew, Dennis Terrell.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory a son, Kevin (Vickie) Pennington of Leitchfield; grandson, Brain (Jesinda) Lewis of Leitchfield; brother, Arnold McKenney of Beaver Dam; two sisters, Alice Porter of Cromwell and Carolyn Westerman of Owensboro, two nieces, Nelda (Ben) Henderson and Beth Ann McKenney; nephew, Ray McKenney, and niece at heart, Judy Prewett.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
