Martha Horn 80, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun. Martha Gertrude Clark was born February 17, 1943 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Dewey Hobson and Settie Ozetta Ratliff Clark and was married to Donald Floyd Horn. She lived a full and vibrant life, touching many hearts and leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience.

Martha was a dedicated and hardworking woman. She began her professional journey at General Electric in Owensboro, where she honed her skills and paved the way for her future endeavors. Later, she became the owner and operator of Horn’s Income Tax and Bookkeeping in Owensboro, demonstrating her entrepreneurial spirit. Her professional life was marked by diligence, integrity, and dedication, earning her respect and admiration from colleagues and clients alike.

Aside from her professional commitments, Martha had a zest for life and a passion for various activities that brought her joy. She was a member of the Baptist faith and had a particular fondness for crappie fishing at Lake Barkley, an activity she eagerly looked forward to each time. Her love for the lakes was evident in each and every trip she made, cherishing the tranquility and peace it offered.

Martha had a knack for collecting, and her collection of over 1,000 different Santa Claus items was a testament to her love for the jolly figure. These collectibles brought her immense joy and were a source of endless fascination for her family and friends. Her interests and hobbies reflected her vibrant personality, adding a unique flavor to her life. In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Don Horn; and by a grandson, Charles Leigh Clark.

However, it was her love for family and friends that truly defined Martha. Survivors include her son, Tim Clark (Valerie) of Calhoun; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Dewey Clark of Calhoun.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday November 4, 2023 at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial will be in the Smith-Ratliff Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Martha’s family from 10:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Saturday at Musters in Calhoun.
