Cleo Jordan Lee, age 94 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away October 29, 2023 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. She was born in Ventura, CA on August 30, 1929, daughter of the late Irene Board and William J. Jordan. Cleo retired from the Breckinridge County Soil Conservation Office, was a member of Hardinsburg United Methodist Church, Breckinridge County Historical Society and the Garden Club. She lived life to the fullest and had fun doing so. She loved her family, her animals and traveling. She and her daughter traveled to many places around the USA – dogsledding in Denver, carriage rides through Central Park and the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree while in New York, a Jimmy Buffett party boat in Key West and driving the California coast from north to south. She was known for her wonderful apple pies – one bringing $500.00 at a fundraiser. She made many new and long lasting friends with her pies. Life was not always a ray of sunshine, however, when Cleo was around, it became a brighter place.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William “Jack” Lee and her son Stephen Edward Lee.

Cleo is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Rebecca and Monroe Freeman of Aiken, SC

4 grandchildren: Stephanie Wilson (Todd), Lauren Roberts (Derek), Miranda Fox (Phil Rundle) and Corinne Ramsier (Greg)

2 great grandchildren: Garrett Wilson and Sidney Boswell (Brandon) and a great great granddaughter due in November.

Many nieces and nephews including Karen Spokane (Arnie).

A memorial service will be held at Hardinsburg United Methodist Church on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at 11:30 AM central time. Please come and celebrate Cleo and the life she lived. She took great pride and had a little fun planning this service. As the Frank Sinatra song goes “I did it my way” and she sure did.
