William Earl Sharp, 79, of Owensboro, passed away on October 28, 2023. He was born in Owensboro on September 12, 1944, to the late Bertha Sharp.
William worked for Owensboro Mercy Hospital in the housekeeping department for 40 years. He enjoyed riding his bike, fishing, and dancing at the VFW. He was a kind person who would give the shirt off of his back.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia Osborne Sharp; his stepchildren Lydia Riley and William Osborne; his half-sister Barbara (Don) Feldpausch; special nephew Charlie Feldpausch; several other nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
Service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to the time of the service.
