Whitesville, KY – James Robert Higdon, 73, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023 at his home with his family and loved ones, under hospice care. He retired as owner of Higdon Trucking, Inc. in 2020. Robert is survived by his wife, Diane Edge Higdon, daughters, Dana Lynn Burch and Valarie Kaye Rogers. He was blessed with sons-in-law, Bruce Burch and Chip Rogers. His grandchildren and great grandchildren brought him much joy and love. They are Leslie Burch Simon, Chris Simon, Evan Burch, Kara Burch, Rachel Burch, Cameron Hamilton, Kaydence Hamilton, Isabella Rogers, Kopelan Mattingly, and Clement Burch. Robert is survived by brothers, Carl and Byron Higdon and his two sisters, Regina Coomes and Jacinta Smith.
Services will be held Monday, October 30, 2023, at 12:00 noon at St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in Whitesville, KY. Visitation will be October 30, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville, KY.
