Burla J. Neeley, 91, of Owensboro, went to her Heavenly home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Saturday, October 21, 2023. She was the last of her siblings born to John B. Neeley and Hally Neeley on October 23, 1931 in Glasgow, Kentucky. Burla received her Bachelor’s degree from Western Kentucky University. She was a Kentucky school teacher having taught in Hancock County, Perry County, Indiana, Hancock County Adult Career Center and was the Media Librarian at Cloverport School System. Burla enjoyed traveling the world, the theatre and fine arts. She was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church of Owensboro.
Burla chose cremation so there will be no services per Burla’s wishes. James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of her arrangements.
