Stephen A. Ballard, 66, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 surrounded by his family while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born on April 15, 1957 in Daviess County to the late Edmund and Mary Howard Ballard.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ellen Brown and her husband, Tony; a brother, Raymond Ballard; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Ballard.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Ballard; children, Karen Ballard, Stephen Ballard, Jr. (Katherine Ballard-Mullen), April Ballard (Cody), and Mary Alget (Shawn); six grandchildren, Sarah Head, Austin Head, Laura Head, Dawson Johnson, Kinzley Johnson, and Liam Reynolds; several four-legged grand babies; two great-grandchildren, Anderson Brinker and Amber Whiteaker; brothers, Mike Ballard and Wayne Ballard (Linda); sisters, Nancy O’Bryan (Richard), Anna Houghton (Bill), Marie Blumeier (Don), and Helen Cox (Ken); and the mother of his children, Roxanne Ballard; and several nieces and nephews.
