Ann Morris 82, of Livermore, Kentucky, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully Friday, October 20, 2023, at Riverside Care and Rehabilitation Center in Calhoun, where she had retired as a nurse’s assistant after several years of dedicated service. Georgeann Marshall was born May 29, 1941 in Rosewood, Kentucky to the late George and Edith Lorene Duvall Marshall, was married to Curtis Eugene Morris December 17, 1960 and was better known as ‘Ann’ to both her friends and family.
At Riverside, Ann was known for her tender, loving care toward all her patients, and her dedication to her profession was a testament to her kind and caring nature. Her co-workers remember her as a woman of strong character, always willing to lend a helping hand. She was a beacon of hope and comfort to the people she cared for, and her compassionate spirit touched the lives of many.
Outside of work, Ann had a zest for life that was contagious. She loved her three poodles, Nikki, Diamond, and Cody, treating them as if they were her own children. Their antics brought her endless joy and laughter, and they were her constant companions. Ann also had a passion for WWE wrestling, a pastime she enjoyed with her family and friends. Her infectious enthusiasm and spirited commentary during matches were a source of amusement for those around her.
Ann was a woman of faith and a member of the Sacramento Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength and solace in times of difficulty.
Above all, Ann loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a pillar of strength and the heart of her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy. She cherished every moment spent with them, from baking cookies to reading bedtime stories. Her home was always filled with laughter and love. Her selfless love and nurturing nature made her the matriarch of her family, and her legacy of love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Ann was a woman who left an indelible mark on the lives of those she touched. She will be remembered for her kind heart, her nurturing spirit, and her unwavering faith. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived, a life that touched so many, a life that made a difference. In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Curtis E. Morris, who died January 17, 2018 and by a grandson, D.W. Smith.
Survivors include three sons, Mike Morris (Sarah) of Greenville, Robby Morris (Tabby) of Calhoun and James Tracy Morris (Joan) of Sorgho; a daughter, Lesa Morris Weikel (Gene) of Clarkson; five grandchildren, Brittney Smith, Casey Cummings, Jason Morris (Haley), Robbi Morris, and Angel Olson (Chris); a granddaughter-in-law, Lori Smith; 6 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Brenda Volett of Largo, Florida and Wanda Moody of Loogootee, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 23, 2023 at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery in Muhlenberg County. Friends may visit with Ann’s family from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. Sunday and from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Monday at Musters in Livermore.
