Juanita Anderson Strobel, 96, of Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Signature Healthcare—Hillcrest. She was born September 21, 1927 in Daviess County to the late Joseph and Ophelia Johnson Anderson. Juanita was a homemaker and retired as Co-owner and operator with her husband of Strobels Trading Post. She also had attended Apollo Heights Baptist Church. Juanita was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis F. Strobel on June 24, 2013 and a granddaughter, Misty English in 2010.
Surviving are a son, Robert Strobel and two daughters, Debbie Woodward and Kay English (Richard), all of Owensboro; seven grandchildren, Robert Barrett Strobel and Jared D. Strobel, both of Eddyville, Christopher Louis Stone (Amanda) of Knottsville, Jennifer Gass (Eric) of Newburgh, Indiana, Roger Bradley Stone (Sonya Foreman) of Utica, Jeremy English (Tommy Arnold) of Prospect, and Jason English (Ashley) of Friendly Village; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service for Juanita will be 2 PM Friday, October 20, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from Noon Friday until the time of the service Friday.
