
Alicia Joy Gilles, 66, of Owensboro passed away Friday, October 13, 2023, at her home and under the care of Hospice of W. Kentucky. The San Francisco, California native was born March 14, 1957, to the late Murvel and Almeda Chenault. Alicia graduated from OHS and attended WKU before receiving her associate degree in accounting from OCC. She was employed at Glenmore, Owensboro National Bank, and as a bookkeeper for the Jumpin’ Jacks stores in this area. Alicia enjoyed dancing and barbeques and was an avid fan of all San Francisco sports teams. She was a selfless and compassionate person who always volunteered at her sons schools and was a caregiver for her family members.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Randy Gilles; two sons, Perry “P.J.” Starks and Ross Martin Gilles (Alyssa) both of Owensboro; three grandchildren, Connor Starks, Logan Starks, and Ainsley Gilles; two brothers, Keith Chenault (Teresa) and David Chenault; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral is 2:00 pm Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with visitation same day from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
