Gladys Marie Calloway, 99, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at Twin Rivers Nursing Home. She was born May 12, 1924 in Ohio County to the late Ellis and Irene Wilson Phelps. Gladys retired from Kings Island after 20 years where she worked as a switch board operator and was a member of Southside Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Hinkel and Louise Bishop; brother, James Phelps; great grandson, Christian Blaine Gann.
Survivors include a son, Danny Tatum; grandchildren, Dana Bayliss and Nikki Gann (Chad); great granddaughters, Lexie and Ashlee Gann, Tatum Bayliss; brother, Mervil Phelps; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no services.
