Phyllis G. Roberts, 79, of Owensboro, passed away September 20, 2023, while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born February 16, 1944, in Henderson to the late Daniel “Boone” and Katherine Courtney. Phyllis was a member of St. Martins Catholic Church and a past member of the altar society. She enjoyed playing slots, thrifting antiques, and had a soft spot for animals. Phyllis loved spending time with her children and grandchildren above all.
In addition to her parents, Phyllis is preceded in death by her siblings, Joyce Edwards, Daniel Courtney, and Jerry Courtney.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 53 years, James Roberts; son, Keith Roberts (Maggie); daughter, Dana Brickner; grandchildren, Kenley, Nathan, Keaton, Nicholas, and Courtney; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral mass for Phyllis will be 10 AM Saturday, September 23, at St. Martins Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 2 PM until 7 PM Friday with prayers at 6 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, and Saturday 9AM until time of service at the church. Burial will follow in St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery.
