Melita K. Smith, 68, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away September 11, 2023. She was born April 13, 1955, to the late Charles Edward Sheriff and Mary Dessie Vaught Sheriff. Melita was a member of Liberty Lighthouse Church of God in Owensboro.
Melita loved playing Candy Crush, Denzil Washington, and her animals.
Along with her parents, Melita was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Smith, and brothers, Steven Sheriff, Terry Sheriff, and Scott Davis Sheriff.
Melita is survived by her children, Victor Sheriff and Hector Sheriff, and her siblings, Cindy Lou Sheriff and Shane Sheriff.
