SACRAMENTO – Betty June Shanks, 86, of Sacramento, died Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at 9:24PM at Maple Health and Rehab in Greenville. Mrs. Shanks was born March 2, 1937, in Muhlenberg County. She was a factory worker at General Electric. She was preceded in death by her father, William Otis Rice; and mother, Frances Louise Gregory.
She is survived by her son, Allen Eugene (Jane) Shanks of Sacramento; grandchildren, Michele Shanks and Wade Shanks; and great-grandchildren, Audrey (Matthew) Kramer, Clay Shanks, and Kylie Shanks.
Graveside funeral services will be Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 10:00AM at Fairmount Cemetery in Central City, with Bro. Bill Skipworth officiating. Burial to follow. Tucker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made at www.tuckerfuneralhomes.com.
