Beverly Jean Ijames Hafley, 76, of Owensboro, passed away on August 17, 2023, under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born in Owensboro on August 18, 1946, to the late Paul E. Ijames and Katherine Epley White. After high school, Beverly started her family and stayed home with her children. She was also a former volunteer for City React and was of the Pentecostal Faith.
Beverly spent most of her time doing the things she enjoyed including sewing and listening to Kay’s music. She was an amazing cook and those who knew her called her the biscuit master. Beverly was a loving mother who was always there for her children.
Beverly is survived by her children: Kay (Timothy) Gribbins and Kevin (Linda) Hafley; grandchildren: Chase Hafley, Zach Hafley, and Noah Hafley; siblings: Joyce (Raymond) Barrow, Mike (Beverly) Phillips, and Ron Phillips; and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2:00 pm on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at Nickel Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations going towards the funeral expenses, c/o Joyce Barrow. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
