Lisa Smallwood, age 56 of Westview, KY passed away August 16, 2023 at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Hospital. She was born in Owensboro, KY on January 7, 1967, daughter of the late Robert Arnold and Catherine Meador Wheatley. Lisa attended Community Praise and Worship. She was a special needs teacher at Breckinridge County Middle School. She loved her job and was so proud of the achievements of her students. She adored her grandchildren and loved time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Arnold and Catherine and Joseph Wheatley and her brother Danny Arnold.
Lisa is survived by 2 sons – Adam Smallwood (Dana) and Jacob Smallwood of Westview, KY
3 grandchildren who called her Mimi – Mackenzie, Jackson and Braxton
7 brothers and sisters – James Arnold (Susan) of Balltown, KY; Michael Wheatley of Leitchfield, KY; Theresa Sims (Buddy) and Monica Arnold of Westview, KY; Cathy Jo Segura (Tony) of McDaniels, KY; Lisa Wheatley of Constantine, KY and Samantha Cundiff (Brandon) of Louisville, KY.
Sister-in-law – Roxanne Arnold of Custer, KY
Her dear friend Jim Hazelwood of Hardinsburg, KY
Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held at Community Praise and Worship on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 11 AM with burial in Hillcrest Haven. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday, 4-8 PM and Tuesday after 8:30 AM. Expressions of sympathy are suggested to Pocket Full of Hope..
