Gertrude Becker Petit, age 100 of Custer, KY passed away August 5, 2023 at her residence. She was born in Effingham County, IL on April 9, 1923, daughter of the late John and Esther Booth Becker. She was a member of Lutheran House of Prayer in Elizabethtown, KY and attended Hudson Community Church. Mrs. Petit was a homemaker who enjoyed ceramic painting and cross stitch.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Emmett Petit, grandson Eric Lloyd Johnson and brothers Paul Becker and Clarence Becker.
Mrs. Petit is survived by 3 children – Carolyn Kay Petit of Springfield, IL; Larry Roger Petit (Anna Kathleen) of Custer, KY and James Lee Petit (Tammy) of Destrehan, LA

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at 1 PM with burial in the Custer Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 11 AM. All times are central.
