Joyce Beavers, 73, of Utica, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on December 3, 1949 in Edmonson County to the late David & Charlotte Elmore. Joyce was a retired bus driver from the Daviess County Public Schools.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Beavers; her siblings, Adeline, Emaline, Tom, Margie, Kenneth, Robert, and Howard.
Survivors include her children, Paul Nave (Amy Kessinger) and Sherri Dockery (John); seven grandchildren, Tera Nave, Trevor Nave, Haley Bradshaw, Madison Hagan, Morgan Hagan, Alyssa Dockery, and Breanna Price; two great grandchildren, Aveline & Seraphina; two siblings, Jane “Geraldine” Simmons and Willie Elmore, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9, 2023 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. There will be no services. Burial will be in Wingfield Cemetery at a later date.
