Aleita Gail Horsley, age 71 of Mt. Washington, KY passed away May 30, 2023 at Baptist Health Louisville. She was born in Louisville, KY on August 19, 1951, daughter of the late Willard and Thelma McCamish Horsley. Gail was one of the founding members of the Oldham County Humane Society. She loved all animals, but had a fondness for dogs. Her family was her world and she loved being surrounded by them.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Linda Diane Bickelman.
Gail is survived by 2 children – Staci Voss and her husband Jay of Mt. Washington, KY and Chris Stevenson and his wife Nicole of Bardstown, KY
5 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter – Mayson Cannon, his wife Raeann and their daughter Lorelei Grace; Harlie Voss; Ava, Landen and Wyatt Stevenson
2 brothers – Ron Horsley and his wife Jeanne of Louisville, KY and Ed Horsley and his wife Cindy of Hardinsburg, KY
many nieces, nephews and their families
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 12 PM with burial in the Custer Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM on Saturday. All times are central.
