Joe Dan Howell, age 81 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away May 18, 2023 at his residence. He was born in the Brewers community of Marshall County, KY on March 2, 1942, son of the late Wilbern and Anna Mobley Howell. Joe was a member of Harned United Methodist Church, Kentucky Cattlemen’s Association and past President of Breckinridge County Farm Bureau Board. He was a former Little League coach and a Tiger 100 member. He and his wife Nancy enjoyed watching their sons and their grandchildren participate in sporting events. Joe was a former Agriculture teacher, but his real passion was farming. He raised cattle and grain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson Michael Alexander Howell.

4 sons: Daniel Brent (Kim) Howell of Harned, KY; Andrew Scott Howell of Hardinsburg, KY; Joseph Mark Howell of Louisville, KY and Tyler Lee (Ali) Howell of Nashville, TN
6 grandchildren: Joseph Neil, Jillian LeeAnn, Daniel Adam, Ryleigh Ann, Dallas Hawk and Beckett Lee Howell
2 brothers: Gerald Howell and Eric (Brenda) Howell of Marshall County, KY
2 sisters: Vicki Wyatt of Mt. Juliet, TN and Judith (Junius) Tate of Hopkinsville, KY
Funeral services will be held at Harned United Methodist Church on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at 11 AM with burial in the Harned Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday, 4-8 PM and Tuesday after 8 AM.
