Edward Drane, age 79 of Hardinsburg, KY passed away February 22, 2023 at his residence. He was born in SeRee, KY on March 21, 1943, son of the late James Paul and Emma Ruth Niles Drane.
He retired from LG & E where he was an equipment operator and mechanic.. He owned Drane’s Construction, which was a backhoe service. Eddie enjoyed meeting with friends at Hardees and working on his family’s cars. He was a lifelong member of Fairview United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Paul Keith Drane and siblings – Madeline Drane, Barbara Carman, Bill Drane (Liz), Jack Drane (Florine), Jim Drane, Joe Drane, Tony Drane and Peggy Moore, brother-in-law: Roger Lucas.
Eddie is survived by his wife Jerri Drane of Hardinsburg, KY
2 children: Charles Scott Drane of Hardinsburg, KY and Edwina “Wendy” Burroughs and her husband Joe of Radcliff, KY
4 grandchildren: Bailey and Jacob Burroughs, Izak and Laynie Drane
1 great grandson – Drake Conner Drane
1 sister – Nancy Lucas of Hardinsburg, KY
brothers and sisters-in-law: Sam Moore, Bobby Joe Carman, Bonnie Drane and Gladys Drane
Funeral services will be held at Fairview United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 11 AM with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Friday, 3:30 – 7 PM and Saturday, 8 – 10:30 AM. All times are central.
