
Patsy D. Stroud, 82, of Owensboro passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Mrs. Stroud was born October 19, 1936 in Centertown. Patsy grew up and attended school in Centertown with her future husband, Bob Stroud. She was a long-standing member of Third Baptist Church. Pasty was a very selfless and outgoing person who earned the nickname “the Energizer Bunny” because she never slowed down. She loved the outdoors and working in her yard and taking walks with friends. Pasty was crazy about her grandsons and spending time with them.
Mrs. Stroud was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Robert “Bob” Stroud in 2011
and her parents, Mattie and J.P. Button.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Debbie Ray and husband Rodney of
Owensboro; grandsons, Lucas Ray and Jacob Ray and his wife Cassidy; great-grandchildren,
Harper, Charley, and Holden Ray; brother, David Button (Jo); sisters, Diane Haynes (David) and
Betty Maddox (Larry); sister-in-law and good friend Marita Stroud; several nieces and nephews.
The visitation and a time of sharing for Patsy Stroud will be 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 11
at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
