Florence Abbott, 92 of Hardinsburg, KY died on November 30, 2022 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. She was born in New Albany, IN on September 24, 1930 to the late Isaac Lemmon and Mary Jenkins Lemmon. Florence received her degree in Social Work from Western Ky. University and worked for the State of Kentucky until her retirement. She was a member of Hardinsburg United Methodist Church. Florence enjoyed reading mystery novels and working word puzzles.
She was preceded by her husband Lee Thomas Abbott, siblings Bob, Arthur, Earl and Joyce Lemmon, Mary Edith Thompson and Margie Reed
Florence is survived by her daughters: Linda St. Clair (John Cox) of Union City, TN and Lois (Darreyl) Tanner of Hardinsburg, KY
Granddaughter- Robin Letterman
Great-Granddaughter – Katrina Letterman
Funeral services will be held at Hardinsburg United Methodist Church on Saturday at 11 AM
Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9-11 AM
Burial in Ivy Hill Cemetery
