Charlene Donahue, 70, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away November 8, 2022 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born July 26, 1952 in Owensboro to the late Charles and Mary E. Donahue. She worked mostly in healthcare for she enjoyed helping people. She was also Saved, Baptized, and attended Curdsville Baptist Church.
Charlene loved sewing and making jewelry for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, making Christmas cards, and writing poems. Charlene was a fan of the horse races, whether she was watching them on tv or attending the races in person.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert K. Donahue and sisters, Mary Donita Griffin, Brenda L. Long, and Peggy A. Lamm.
Charlene leaves behind to cherish her memory, her brother, William T. Donahue; daughters, Donna (Ari) Peech and Samantha (Michael) Purcell; grandchildren, Johnathon K. Hays, Amanda Tolson, Robert Hack, Blake Peech, Dagon Hack, Tristan Peech, and Gabrielle Peech; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 2:00 pm on Friday, November 11, 2022 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial to follow at Yellow Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 am until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.
