Mary Lou Hibbard, age 81 of Hudson, KY passed away November 7, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Louisville, KY on September 11, 1941, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Hartlage Kuchenbrod. Mary Lou was a member of Hudson Community Church. She worked in the housekeeping department of an Elizabethtown nursing home for a few years, but her heart was in her home where she spent time working in her garden, her flowers and crossword puzzles. Mary Lou loved her family and they loved her. She had a fondness for her pets, especially Crickett, her Yorkie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence Hibbard, Sr.; great-grandson Case Edward McCamish and siblings Joe Kuchenbrod and Patsy Taylor.
Mary Lou is survived by 4 children: Lawrence “Beau” Hibbard, Jr. of Cecilia, KY; Mark (Debbie) Hibbard of Cecilia, KY; John (Elizabeth) Hibbard, Sr. of Hardinsburg, KY and Cindy (Mike) Smallwood of Cecilia, KY
9 grandchildren: Miranda, Amanda, Brianna, Shannon, Chad, Ethan, Kelly, Hannah and John, Jr.
9 great grandchilden
Her loving sister: Yvonne “Trudy” Harned of Mt. Washington, KY
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 1 PM with burial in the Hudson Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM on Thursday. All times are central time.
