Brenda Thomasson 73, of Calhoun, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at her home in Calhoun. Brenda Joan Towery was born March 26, 1949 in McLean County, Kentucky to the late Claude Estill and Doris Marie Young Towery and was married to Kenneth Edward Thomasson January 4, 1969. Brenda retired as a nurse from the former Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital and was a member of St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Calhoun. She also enjoyed traveling, especially to the mountains and Florida. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by a great grandson, Joshua Alexander Thomasson.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Kenny Thomasson; two sons, Michael Shawn Thomasson of Owensboro and Daniel Shane Thomasson (Carmela) of Edmonton; four grandchildren, Mike Thomasson, Michelle Thomasson, Morgan Thomasson, and Joshua Thomasson; 6 great grandchildren; four brothers, Kenny Towery of Rumsey, Freddie Towery of Calhoun, Tommy Towery, and James Towery (Sharon) both of Sacramento; and a sister, Linda Towery (Mark Koeing) of Bardstown; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday at St. Sebastian Catholic Church in Calhoun with the Rev. Jegin Puthenpurackal officiating. Burial will be in the Calhoun Cemetery in McLean County. Friends may visit with Brenda’s family from 10:00 A.M. until 12:45 P.M. Wednesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel.
