COTTONWOOD – Martha Marie Taylor, 79, of Cottonwood, Alabama, died Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at her residence. Mrs. Taylor was born December 2, 1942 in Muhlenberg County. Family was everything to her. She so enjoyed time spent with her children and her grandchildren. She was a very good Bingo player and enjoyed spending time in Kentucky visiting family and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lottie Groves; father, Franklin “D.R.” Groves; and husband, Cecil Taylor, Sr.
She is survived by her sisters, Lavonne Jones and Rebecca Payton; brother, Ricky Groves, Sr.; children, Cecil (Holly) Taylor, Jr., Mary Juanita (Vince) Vincent, Joshua Lee Taylor, Abigail Taylor; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
