Sue Ellen Boone, 75, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 11, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. She was born August 10, 1947, in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late Walter and Nettie Douglas Cook.
Sue was a fulltime mother and wife who loved her family with everything she had. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She had a heart of gold and cared for everyone. Sue spent her time fishing, working crossword puzzles, and reading the Bible.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Junior Albert Boone, who passed in November of 2013. Also preceding in death are her sons, Walter, Kenny, and Jerry Boone; brothers, Roger, and Alan Cook; and sister, Bertie Hilligas.
Those surviving are her children, Ricky Johnson of Portage, Indiana, Veronica (Jerry) Graham of Wanatah, Indiana, Elizabeth (Roger) Imes of Owensboro, and Charles (Sandra) Boone of Fordsville, Kentucky; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and siblings, Bonnie Cook and Peggy Marsh both of Owensboro.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends are asked to meet at the Cemetery.
