
HORSE BRANCH-Willard Lee Geary, 77, of Horse Branch, Kentucky, passed away on July 28, 2022 at Ohio County Hospital. He was born August 5, 1944 in Horse Branch to the late Everett and Ruth (Raines) Geary.
Willard worked at Dunaway and the rock quarry when he was younger. Then retired from the City of Hartford as the city’s assistant director in the early 90’s.
Survivors include his wife Janice Camp Geary, one son, Jason (Marissa) Geary of Horse Branch. One daughter, Dianna (Oz) Ligon of Henderson, Ky. The grandson he raised Adam Geary. Granddaughters Mary Simpson (Ronald) and Cary Simpson (Bryon). Mason Geary, his running buddy. Also his great grandson Eli Garland. A bonus son, Tony Hill. His vacation buddy Tyler “Tink” Ferrie
Brothers, Donald (Sarah), Charlie (Kay), Glen (Carolyn), Menard and Thomas. Sisters, Lilly Phelps, (Jay), Martha Simpson (Kenny) Debra Mae Jones (Terry). Brother in Law, Douglas Camp. Sister in law, NancyBailey(Charles) Brenda Camp and a Very Special Sister in law Debbie Camp. Brother in law Forrest ( Peggy) Jameson. Several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil and Leonard. Sisters Louanna and Geneva. Sister in law Betty Camp Jameson and a special brother in law Steve Riley.
Willard enjoyed hunting, fishing, working in the garden, working on the farm with Nick Woolen along with picking his guitar.
Honoring Willard as Pall bearers are Leon Geary, Billy Jameson, Travis Camp, Russell Camp, Tony Hill, Nick Woolen, Tyler Ferrie, Tyler Deweese, Adam Wight, Beau Wright.
Services will be at Bevil Bros. in Beaver Dam Visitation at the funeral home Sunday July 31st from 6 pm until 8 pm and Monday August 1st from 9 am until time of the service ( 2:00) with burial in Boyd Cemetery.
