David Blair, 72, of Owensboro, Kentucky, passed away June 29, 2022 at Twin Rivers Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born October 1, 1949, in Cave City, Kentucky. David worked as a roofer for 50 years and attended Third Baptist Church.
David was a great man! He loved his grandkids and spending time with them. David was a funny man, he made friends with everyone, and he never met a stranger. He was handyman of sorts and was just a good guy. David will be missed by those who he touched in his life.
He is preceded in death by Jimmy Blair, Jane Alvey, and Merrell Wayne Blair.
David is survived by his wife of 49 years, Irene Walker Blair; children, Margaret (Larry) Miller, Kathy Retherford, Glenn (Roxanne) Blair, April Blair, Gayla Blair, David Blair, Michael Walker, Charles Blair, Jessica Blair, and Layla Blair; 29 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and brother, Bobby Ray Blair.
Services will be 2 pm Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
