Pauletta Sue Stephens, age 70 of Garfield, KY died February 24, 2022 at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Breckinridge County on October 27, 1951, the daughter of the late Paul Edward and Jeanette Maxine Carman Alexander. Pauletta was a retired hairdresser as well as a construction laborer and truck driver. She loved all things outdoors – fishing, boating and camping. She was an aide with the Breckinridge County school system. She loved encouraging the students to learn and she enjoyed their achievements. 4-H was a big part of her life and she was adored by the children who participated. She loved her family, but her dogs Boo and Prissy were very special.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter Tiera.
Pauletta is survived by her husband Jimmy Leon Stephens of Garfield, KY
4 children: Terry (Michelle) Stephens of Michigan; Lori (Andy) Beger of Glendale, KY: Jannye Hatfield of Hardinsburg, KY and Julia Adamiak of Elizabethtown, KY
8 grandchildren: Chris (Heather), Dana (Aaron), Brooke (Andy), Dylan (Kyla), Jordin, Peyton, Kinsey and Darian
7 great grandchildren: Gabe, Carter, Noah, Elaina, Adalyn, Novalee and Kylan
2 sisters: Karen Lehotsky of Elizabethtown, KY and Janie Leslie of McDaniels, KY
many cherished nieces, nephews and their families
In keeping with Pauletta’s wishes, cremation was chosen with visitation at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Monday from 5 – 7 PM.
