A 20-year-old Owensboro man has been arrested on 27 counts related to possession and distribution of child porn, according to the Owensboro Police Department.
According to an OPD release, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) task force detectives made an arrest on April 17 following an investigation that began with a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Authorities said the investigation resulted in the identification of William Keeling as a suspect. Keeling was taken into custody Thursday morning at his place of employment, and detectives executed a search warrant at his residence in the 3200 block of Wandering Lane.
“Multiple videos shared by Keeling have been confirmed to be child sexual abuse material. Multiple items were seized, and forensic examinations are ongoing that could lead to additional charges or suspects,” the release says.
According to OPD Keeling has been charged with:
• Distribution of Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by Minor under 12 (10 Counts)
• Distribution of Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by Minor over 12, under 18 (9 Counts)
• Possession of Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by Minor under 12 (5 Counts)
• Possession of Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by Minor over 12, under 18 ( 3 Counts)
