Impact100 Owensboro is marking its 20th anniversary by awarding a record $332,500 in grants this October—its largest total to date.
With a membership of 271 women, the organization will provide three $100,000 transformational grants and one $32,500 impactful grant to local nonprofits. In addition, Impact100 Next Generation, a sister group for teenage girls with 52 members, will award a $5,200 grant.
“Our twentieth year is one for the record book,” said Beth Clements, President of Impact100. “We are always grateful to the women who have chosen to be a part of Impact100 and come together to make transformative change in our community. Every dollar in is a dollar out. One hundred percent of our members’ donations go back out in grants.”
The third transformational grant is being funded through dividends and earnings from investments made by the organization’s Investment Committee. Clements said this extra funding came from community supporters and was “above and beyond” the donations received directly from members.
Since its founding in 2005, Impact100 has awarded $4.32 million in grants to nonprofits across Daviess, McLean, Henderson, and Ohio counties.
Impact100 NextGen has contributed $71,400 to the community since launching in 2017. Sydney Warren, NextGen Chair, said the program empowers young women by giving them a voice in the grant process.
“The young members of NextGen learn and develop a sense of pride in their community, and confidence in the power they hold to make an impact for the better,” Warren said.
The online application for 2025 grants will open on Wednesday, April 30, and close on Wednesday, June 4. Local nonprofits are encouraged to apply at impact100owensboro.org.
