The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office discovered a roadway washout Thursday morning on Griffith Station Road. DCSO is urging caution as floodwaters begin to recede and asking residents to report any other road damage.
DCSO said the damage underscores the lingering and often hidden dangers caused by historic flooding in the area. The washout has been reported to the Daviess County Emergency Management Agency.
Deputies will continue patrolling affected areas to identify additional safety hazards.
