Hancock County and McLean County both won, while Owensboro Catholic and Trinity (Whitesville) fell short.

Hancock County 13, Holy Cross (Louisville) 2

The Hornets scored seven runs in the top of the first inning as they cruised to a 13-2 win over Holy Cross (Louisville). Dec Lewko went 2-4 with four RBIs, while Porter Hay, Tripp Hager, Dylan Mucker, and Jacob Shultz combined for five hits and seven RBIs. Louden Fluharty threw a complete game, allowing two runs (unearned) over five innings and striking out eight.

McLean County 11, Brooksville 1

Hayden Hudson went 2-3 with three RBIs to help the Cougars beat Brooksville 11-1. Jax Lee and Houston Whitaker combined for two hits and four RBIs, while Logan Bozarth and Jaelin Groves both drove in runs. Bozarth threw a complete game, allowing one run over five innings, striking out six.

Lake Park 7, Owensboro Catholic 6

Trailing 7-4 entering the top of the seventh, the Aces had the winning run at the plate but were unable to capitalize, falling to Lake Park 7-6. Mason Moser drove in two runs, while Barrett Evans, Brady Atwell, and Jaxson White each recorded two hits. Lane Hundley allowed two earned runs over three innings, while M Grant pitched three innings out of the bullpen.

Carlisle, OH 18, Trinity (Whitesville) 0

Trinity (Whitesville) committed five errors as they lost 18-0 to Carlisle. Connor Hatfield had the team’s lone hit, while Cale Boarman and Isaac Hernandez both pitched.
