Owensboro Catholic and Hancock County both had opportunities to pull away, but couldn’t close it out.

Leading 13-13 in the top of the seventh, the Lady Hornets allowed two runs, falling 15-13 to Talawanda (Oxford). Ansley House went 1-5 with three RBIs, while Madyson Higdon went 3-6 with two RBI. Bella Bryant, Aubree Mosby, and Ryleigh French all drove in runs. Bryant started on the mound, allowing eight earned runs over five innings, while French and Jordyn Waltrip both came on in relief.
Anderson County 6, Owensboro Catholic 5
Leading 5-2 in the bottom of the seventh, the Lady Aces couldn’t close it out, falling to Anderson County 6-5. Lily Logsdon went 3-4 with an RBI, while Hannah Robbins and Hannah Tignor combined for three hits and two RBIs. On the mound, Robbins allowed five earned runs over 6 1/3 innings, striking out two.
