Elizabeth Caudill has been named the new District Preschool Coordinator for Daviess County Public Schools.
Caudill’s responsibilities will include coordinating the state and local preschool programs for the district. She will be responsible for supporting preschool students and their families, along with working with preschool teachers to prepare students for kindergarten. Caudill will also coordinate with elementary school principals and the Office of Teaching.
“I am truly honored to be named as Preschool Coordinator for Daviess County Public Schools,” she said. “I am excited to collaborate with the staff to support our youngest learners. I look forward to continuing to provide an outstanding program and ensuring kindergarten readiness.”
Caudill currently serves as the Instructional Coach for Foust Elementary School, a role she has held since 2022. She previously served as a classroom teacher at Foust Elementary School from 2016-2021.
Assistant Superintendent of Teaching and Learning Jana Beth Francis said the district is confident Caudill is the right fit for the role.
“It is clear that Mrs. Caudill has a passion for students,” Francis said. “She brings a wealth of experiences and knowledge to a job that sets the stage for our youngest learners and their families. We are excited to have her join our team and continue to grow our preschool program.”
Caudill will begin in this new position on July 1. She will succeed current coordinator Chris Westerfield, who will retire on June 1.
